What to visit in Poland?

Polska

When it comes to sightseeing, there is really a lot to do in Poland. Although some of the monuments were destroyed during World War II, fortunately many of them survived or were rebuilt. You will definitely visit Warsaw , which combines the past and the present quite well. Krakow delights with its climate, a wonderful old town and the view from Wawel to the Vistula River. Wrocław is captivating with its bustling atmosphere, huge spaces and stunning architecture. Also plan a visit to Kazimierz Dolny , famous for its artistic aura, or Toruń , famous for its gingerbread. However, don't just focus on cities. Let yourself be kidnapped by the provinces! Take the Trail of the Eagles' Nests , for example, and visit the magnificent castle ruins.

The best beaches in Poland

As the Baltic coast is long and wide, it offers plenty of beautiful sandy beaches. Unfortunately, some of them experience a real siege during the summer season. You have probably seen photos with screens stretching to the horizon more than once. Bad view, right? Therefore, in summer, try to choose slightly less popular places to avoid sitting in the crowd. A trip to the Vistula Spit , in the vicinity of Krynica Morska , will definitely be a good idea. While there are usually a lot of tourists in the town itself, you can easily find less crowded parts of the beach there. You must also go to Hel and the Słowiński National Park famous for its beautiful dunes. Of course, you will find beaches not only on the Baltic Sea. There are, of course, many nice bathing areas at the Masurian lakes . Let's not forget about one of the most beautiful city beaches in Europe, i.e. Poniatówka in Warsaw. In fact, swimming in the Vistula may not be the best idea. But the view of the Poniatowski Bridge and a large part of the capital compensates for this small detail.

It is known for a long time that Poles like and know how to have fun. Of course, for years this fun focused on disco polo and parties straight from the fire station. But times have changed. At Open'er, Orange Warsaw Festival, Impact, Audioriver or Sunrise, tickets are selling like hot cakes. However, Poles live not only with concerts. Of course , you will find clubs and pubs in most cities . Craft beer bars have been very popular for some time. The weekends usually take place most, but you can have fun on the dance floor during the week.

Geographically, we should have the sea to the south and the mountains to the north. Thanks to this, we would not freeze on the beaches in summer, and in winter we could ski in the snow-covered mountains. But, although we have complaints in our blood as a nation, we should appreciate the fact that Poland is characterized by great biodiversity. We have wonderful forest complexes, with the Białowieża Primeval Forest and the Kampinos Forest at the forefront. Within northern Poland you will find plenty of lakes and vast meadows and pastures. The south is mountains . From the jagged ridges of the Tatra Mountains, through the peculiar, rock formations of the Table Mountains, to the rounded ridges of the Beskids and the Bieszczady mountain meadows. Poland also includes rivers , the queen of which is of course the Vistula, flowing majestically across the entire length of the country. You can admire the most beautiful natural wonders in numerous national parks, landscape parks and reserves scattered throughout the country.

Poland, to a large extent, offers upland or lowland areas. As a result, although the landscape is not always very varied, it allows you to practice recreational forms of cycling . There are more and more shorter and longer cycle routes in the country that are suitable for the whole family. Green Velo , allowing you to explore the eastern part of Poland, can be an interesting proposition for a bicycle holiday. If you want to spend time actively, you must also go to the Polish mountains . In summer, there are numerous hiking trails waiting for you, and in winter, there are many nice and constantly developing ski resorts. Zakopane, Karpacz or Szklarska Poręba are visited by thousands of tourists each year. Water sports enthusiasts will also not be bored. Canoeing trips, e.g. on the Krutynia River, break records of popularity. Just like sailing holidays on Masurian lakes.

Tourism in Poland is constantly developing. As a result, you will easily find places less known and crowded by tourists, as well as offering alternative forms of sightseeing. You should definitely visit Łódź and take a walk along the trail of local, unusual murals. Go to Katowice to discover the surprising industrial character of this city. You will also have a nice time in Lublin, where you can feel the breath of the East. However, if you like places with a soul that allow you to travel in time for a moment, visit Zalipie , famous for its charming, painted huts.
