Książ Castle is undoubtedly one of the most famous castles in Lower Silesia. It is also the largest facility of this type in this corner of Poland, as well as the third largest in the country. It is located north of Wałbrzych. It was built in the thirteenth century and was successively rebuilt over the following centuries. On its premises, you will find as many as 400 rooms , including those with exceptional visual and artistic values

The castle also witnessed historical turmoil, including the fact that at the end of World War II, the Nazis began to convert it into a quarters for the Führer. Unfortunately, this, as well as the later advent of the Red Army, led to the devastation of a large part of the monument. Fortunately, its former splendor has now been largely restored. As a result, Książ Castle delights both with its monumental architecture and the amazing park that stretches around. Anyway, the very location of the castle, at an altitude of over 300 m above sea level . and at the bend of the Pełcznica River, it is a unique and panoramic place.
For whom?
Książ Castle is a great proposition not only for history and architecture fans . It is also a great place for people who like extraordinary places, but also host on all sorts of "top of the top" lists.
