In the 16th century, Jan Zamoyski decided to found the city. Zamość , because we are talking about it, was designed by the Italian architect Bernardo Morando. The assumption was that the city would serve as both a fortress and a friendly place to live. Even a short walk around Zamość makes it impossible to take your eyes off the magnificent architecture. The Renaissance market square , charming tenement houses, but also green areas delight at every step. Therefore, it is not surprising that this coherent urban development was under the protection of UNESCO .

In Zamość you will also find interesting museums, including the famous Arsenal Museum of Fortifications and Weapons . The Underground Tourist Route and the zoo also deserve attention. Of course, Zamość also has a rich offer of cultural events. The most important ones include J armark Hetmański or the Storm of the Zamość Fortress , which is a spectacular historical reconstruction. If, on the other hand, you decide to stay in the city for the night, you will be able to take advantage of the many great restaurants and eateries . There is really a lot to do in Zamość!
