Nidzica

Nidzica , located in Masuria, is a unique place. First of all, because it is here that the largest Teutonic castle in this part of Poland is located. Built in the 14th century by the order, the stronghold was both defensive and residential. Due to its location on a small hill, it has an additional visual and scenic value. Of course, the castle can be visited and it is undoubtedly a must-see during your stay in Nidzica.

However, Nidzica is not the only Teutonic castle itself. In the city, Stary Browar deserves attention as well, where you will be able to stock up on… meads. Be sure to take a walk in the pleasant and well-kept center with low tenement houses. And although there is a bit of distance to the nearest lakes, Nidzica is treated as a kind of " gateway to Masuria ", which introduces you to the extraordinary world of water reservoirs, wild nature and picturesque landscapes.
For whom?
Nidzica is a great proposition for all history fans and people interested in the history of the Teutonic Order. Visiting the castle will be a top experience for them. It is also a good place to start your adventure with the entire Masuria region.
