Man does not live by beaches alone. Albania offers quite a few sights and intriguing places worth seeing. In the north, it is worth paying attention to Shkoder , located on Lake Skadar. It gives you pretty good insight into the history and traditions of this country. Tirana is not only the only European capital without McDonald's, but also a city of numerous contrasts. The spirit of communism is still alive here, mainly in the form of not always pretty buildings. While in Albania, it is also worth visiting two places inscribed on the UNESCO list, i.e. Berat , known as the city of a thousand windows, and Gjirokastra , known as the city of silver roofs.
