Most people, when imagining the capital of a given country, see a city that is beautiful, monumental, well-kept and dripping with splendor. However, it must be admitted that Tirana does not follow this trend. It's hard to say that she is beautiful. But it is definitely a contrasting, diverse and interesting city. There are still many traces of communism , including the largest bunkers in Albania . Over the last few years, it has significantly changed and made it more attractive for the increasing number of tourists visiting the area.

For whom?

In Tirana, it will appeal primarily to people who like to visit . Numerous museums and exhibitions, including the incredibly popular Bunk'Art 1 and 2, will ensure that your stay in the capital city will not be boring. In the evenings, the former government district of Bllok, with numerous pubs and clubs, will take care of fun.

I found the hostel by accident while looking for information about visiting Tirana. The owners of Tip'n'Hostel are Ejron and Eni. They know the capital like the back of their hands and are happy to show them around. Trips with them are not only good fun, but also a dose of specific knowledge about the history of the city. As for the hostel itself - the conditions are great, the atmosphere is brilliant and the location is convenient, thanks to which you can get everywhere on foot.

I chose the hostel because of the low price. I didn't expect much, but when I got there it turned out to be a really great place. Private rooms are spacious, have efficient air conditioning and nice bathrooms. For €2.5 you can buy tasty breakfasts. The hostel is located 2.5 km from the main square, in a quiet and peaceful area.

While looking for accommodation in the center of Tirana, I found Hostel Freddy. The number one advantage is the location - literally a few steps from Skanderbeg Square. It is therefore an excellent base for sightseeing or night outings. Advantage number two is the low price. However, the number three advantage is the great people working in the hostel. You can feel a truly homely atmosphere there

Destil Hostel

I spent two nights in Destil. It is a modern, well-decorated and tastefully decorated hostel. Honestly, I didn't expect a place in Tirana to be so amazing in terms of design. It only has shared dormitories, but each of them has a private bathroom. And since the hostel is located only 10 minutes from the very center, it allows you to fully feel the atmosphere of the Albanian capital.

Hotel Oresti Center

Hotel Oresti Center

If you have a hotel in the city center, choose Oresti. I liked everything there - from the large, neatly furnished rooms to the rich, tasty breakfasts. Everything is close, so you don't waste time moving from attraction to attraction. You can find cheaper accommodation in Tirania, but the comfort offered by Oresti is worth paying a little more.
