UNESCO World Heritage Site, Berat is the most beautiful city in Albania . Located in the valley of the Osumi River, it delights with the old town on the hill and the fortress dominating over it. It is sometimes referred to as the city of a thousand windows. Because in the evening, when you look at the old town, you get the impression that there are actually a thousand windows or more.

Berat is often visited by tourists, not only in the high summer season. In addition to interesting monuments and beautiful views, excellent restaurants and a large selection of hotels await you here. Berat can also be a great base for exploring this part of Albania. It is close to the Tomorri Mountains or the amazing Osumi Canyon .

Berat is, above all, an ideal place for people who like to visit and learn about history . Backpackers are very fond of it, who can easily find low-budget accommodation options in it or in its vicinity. The city, especially in the evenings, has a very romantic soul, so it is also a good destination for a holiday for two.

Hotel Omer
W Hotelu Omar spędziłem jedną noc. Znajduje się w dzielnicy Mangalem, dzięki czemu pod ręką ma się zabytkową część miasta, jak i liczne knajpki czy sklepy. Ciekawym przeżyciem jest nocleg w budynku, który pochodzi z XVIII w. I choć poczuć tu można ducha historii, to pokoje są urządzone nowocześnie i ze smakiem. A jeśli o smaku mowa – śniadania w hotelu są przepyszne. Jeśli kiedyś wrócę do Beratu, to na pewno znów zdecyduję się na nocleg w hotelu Omar.
Hostel Mangalem
Na Hostel Mangalem zdecydowałem się z kilku względów. Po pierwsze ma bardzo wysokie oceny w serwisach rezerwacyjnych. Ponieważ planowałem spędzić w Beracie kilka dni, zależało mi na komfortowym miejscu. Po drugie zlokalizowany jest w zabytkowej dzielnicy Mangalem. Po trzecie pozwala zatopić się w historii Beratu, gdyż stworzony został w starym, potureckim budynku. W cenę pobytu wliczone jest smakowite śniadanie.
