The town of Vrsac is located in the eastern part of Vojvodina, right on the border with Romania . It was first mentioned in the 15th century, but its history dates back to the Neolithic times.

Vrsac is known in Serbia for several reasons. First of all , the international railway line Vienna - Budapest - Belgrade - Bucharest runs through it. Secondly, the chess grandmaster Borislav Kostic came from there, in honor of whom an internationally renowned chess tournament is held in Vrsac. Third, this Serbian town is a famous wine center . Every year, on the third weekend of September, an event called "Grozdjebal" takes place there, during which you will be able to participate in numerous concerts, learn about different grapevines, and take part in wine tasting.
For whom?
Visit Vrsac if you want to try some good Serbian wine . It is also an excellent destination for enthusiasts of small-town atmosphere and a casual atmosphere . There are not many monuments in Vrsac, so if you are focused on sightseeing, then take a different direction.
