Philadelphia

Philadelphia, Paraguay, is a very remote place, located somewhere on the outskirts of Gran Chaco . The city is interesting because most of the inhabitants come from Germany and do not think about communicating in Spanish. Of course they know, but it's hard to eradicate tradition from a person, especially since religion is what binds the community. Most of the inhabitants are descendants of the Mennonites who are a branch of the Protestant Church. An alternative name for Philadelphia is Fernheim . Philadelphia doesn't offer much to explore, except maybe typical German architecture. Most often it serves as a good place to organize a trip around Chaco. With a bit of luck you will see wildlife, or you will run out of water and die of dehydration. And this is no joke, because there is a huge problem with water in the entire region.
