Chaco is the second, after the Amazon, area in South America with such great biodiversity. It covers an area of 100 million square kilometers , covering Paraguay, Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil. In the case of the former, it covers 50% of its area , in which only 5% of all Paraguayans live.

This makes Chaco a lonely place, but at the same time ideal for the development of rich flora and fauna. Unfortunately, people leave their traces here anyway, because in Paraguay there is a significant felling of trees growing there. Chaco is sometimes referred to as the green desert . Although the temperatures here are extremely high (even 50 degrees!), There is a huge number of different plants here. Unfortunately, cutting them down causes very rapid soil erosion, and due to the low amount of rainfall and the rivers / groundwater present here, no vegetation has a chance to revive just like that. Chaco is also home to numerous animal species. You can meet here, among others peccaries, tapirs, black woodpeckers , eagles, pelicans. Tourism is not very developed here, so when planning a visit, you can be sure that you will not meet other guests from abroad.
For whom?
