Quito is the second, highest-located capital in the world. It was built on the slopes of the Pichincha volcano, at an altitude of 2,850 meters above sea level. The Ecuadorian capital boasts the largest and best-preserved (largely colonial) old town in Latin America. In its area you will find a large number of monuments, starting with churches and ending with beautiful tenement houses or museums.

It is thanks to the historic old town that Quito has come under the protection of UNESCO. The capital of Ecuador is an inexhaustible source of inspiration - both in terms of sightseeing and views. Due to its location, you can count on many points from which you will be able to admire the vast panorama of the city and the mountains. Of course, as befits a large agglomeration, a lot happens here also after dark. And all this is due to the numerous pubs that guarantee space for really good fun.

For whom?

Quito is worth visiting for several reasons. First of all, it is an ideal city break destination focused strictly on sightseeing. There are many monuments, museums and other interesting places here. Secondly, it will appeal to partygoers and tasters of traditional flavors . Great restaurants and atmospheric pubs await them here. Quito can also be a nice starting point to the mountains and the surrounding trails.

Hotel de la Rabida

A pleasant, very intimate hotel with a very homely, warm atmosphere. My girlfriend and I were delighted and would probably like to go back there again. Restaurants and shops nearby. We had a room with a small balcony overlooking the street. Very nice host.

Casa Alquimia

Casa Alquimia is a unique place. I was enchanted by the beautiful architecture of the building. I especially liked the inner courtyard. The service is up to the task - they helped me plan my day in the city and recommended restaurants. The room is tastefully decorated, with a very high bed.

Rincón Familiar Hostel Boutique

Awesome place! The hotel is located in a colonial tenement house from the 18th century. It offers a beautiful panorama of the city. It made the greatest impression on me, especially at night. The interiors are elegantly and traditionally decorated. I rented a loft that also had a private kitchen.
The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden is an absolute gem of Quito. It is a hostel, but it also offers spacious private rooms (this was my choice). First of all, there is a huge terrace from which you can admire almost the entire city. There is also a bar and restaurant on site. In general, I recommend it to younger tourists because there is a very relaxed atmosphere here.

La Coupole Hotel

I highly recommend this hotel. It is located in the La Mariscal district in close proximity to two pleasant parks. In itself, it has interesting architecture and nice interiors. I really liked the breakfasts served here. Everything is fresh, tasty and diverse. Very affordable.
