Montanita is a small town located on the shores of the ocean. At first glance, it is quite inconspicuous, but it gains a lot when you get to know it better. Mainly because Montanita is the most surfing spot in Ecuador. There you can count on the best waves and really great conditions for surfing.

A very loose, even hippie atmosphere attracts not only athletes, but also artists, nomads and backpackers. With them in mind, Montanita has a lot of pubs and clubs that allow you to have fun in an international company after sunset (but also in front of it). Of course, you can also count on beautiful beaches, nice views and great walking areas.

Montanita is a great choice if you like surfing . However, most of all, it is a good proposition for slightly younger tourists . Especially those who like to party, meet new people and prefer a very casual atmosphere.
