Cajas National Park is located in the south of Ecuador. It covers the area where the Andean Cordillera range turns into a vast plateau very rich in water. In Cajas you will find 165 lagoons , which are more than 1 hectare in area, and 620 smaller lagoons . The undulating terrain is crossed by valleys and streams connecting individual lakes. The whole creates an intricate composition that delights tourists who come there.

But the varied landscape is not the only asset of Cajas. The national park is also home to condors, spectacled bears, wild alpacas and cute hummingbirds.
