Aljezur
Autor, Brate
On the bend of the river Ribeira de Aljezur, on the southwestern tip of Portugal, lies the small town of Aljezur. Its center is only a few kilometers from the ocean. On the hill, above the village, there are the ruins of a castle that was built at the beginning of the 10th century. It is worth going there to admire the beautiful views of Aljezur and its surroundings.

However, what attracts the most tourists to this region is the exceptionally beautiful coast . Near the city you will find a lot of different beaches - from very wide ones to those slightly more hidden between the cliffs. It is still one of the less visited regions on the Algarve coast. So, even in the middle of the season, you will find calm and uncrowded beaches here. It is also an increasingly popular destination for lovers of water sports such as surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. Strong winds and powerful waves of the Atlantic Ocean favor fans of strong sensations.
