Salto Angel is the
tallest waterfall in the world. The stream of water falls from the
Auyan Tepuy massif and flies continuously for 807 meters. Its total height is 978 meters. This is one of the strongest
water whips in the world. While standing at the very bottom, you can massage your plow quite well. The waterfall is a sacred site for the local Pemona Indians. They call him
Parekupa-meru , which is a completely useless name. Well, unless you hit 1 out of 10 and you just get a question like this. Then you shine. The area around the Salto Angel waterfall is an amazing variety of tropical nature, including monkeys, poisonous frogs and hundreds of species of orchids. Apart from monkeys, mammals in the area are generally hard to spot, but include giant anteaters, armadillos, porcupines, three-toed sloths, otters, jaguars, pumas, tapirs, and capybaras. How to get?
There are two options for seeing the waterfall. The first is the flight around the waterfall which
I do not recommend . Salto Angel seems very tiny from the plane and is actually better seen on my Green Map in the pictures. However, it is worth taking one of the trips that go right up to the mouth of the waterfall. It is best to organize it in
Canaima . There you will get a guide.
