Paraguayo Pantanal

Paraguayo Pantanal is a huge swamp in Paraguay, which is home to a multitude of animal species. It's best to get to it from Bahia Negra. There is nothing in the town itself, except a military base and possibly the option of organizing a trip around the Rio Negro .

The Paraguayo Pantanal park itself is off the beaten track that few people reach. Consequently, most of the things you have to organize on your own. Here you can admire really wild fauna (animals). The best place to stay overnight is in Bahia Negra . You also need to stock up on food and water there, because there is not much in the park itself. There, you can only enjoy a drink at Tres Gigantes , which must be booked in advance. On the Brazilian side, the Pantanal is equally impressive.
