Cayenne in
French Guiana is a true crossroads of Europe, the Caribbean and South America. The capital of this French colony has its glory years behind it, but is still worth a visit. Cayenne is not a big city (only 70,000 inhabitants) and it is inhabited by almost 1/3 of all inhabitants of the French dependent territory. They can be
walked on unhindered, unless you are staying somewhere outside the city center. And contrary to appearances, the residents do not drive Porsche Cayenne, but rather old scrap metal from the 90s. [caption id = "attachment_89104" align = "alignleft" width = "500"]

For whom?
The capital of the colony is not as attractive and interesting as, for example,
Saint-Laurent . Here the cultures of Brazil, France and China converge, which can be felt while eating local delicacies. Prices in the city are often higher than in Paris itself.
