Trzeboń

Trzeboń is a close neighbor of České Budějovice . Its long history dates back to the 12th century, and it was granted city rights in 1376. Over the years, the city has expanded significantly. Currently, you can admire fragments of fortifications from the fourteenth century, and a beautifully renovated historic old town with many nice tenement houses. Next to the historical square, there is also a Renaissance chateau , which is one of the largest complexes of this type in the Czech Republic. It has over one hundred living rooms.

The real treasure of Trzebonia is also its surroundings. Already in the Middle Ages, a whole system of canals, dams and ponds was created in the suburbs. Today, right next to the city, there is a nature reserve of freshwater fish. Thanks to the richness of species of waterfowl, fish and aquatic plants, it has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List. Thanks to its unique location, Trzeboń also has access to healing waters.
