There is no need to introduce Planica to the fans of ski jumping. It is in this beautiful Slovenian valley on the border with Italy that the last of the world cup competitions in jumping takes place. Planica consists of a complex of 7 hills. One of them is classified as the ski flying hill . It has a size of 240 m and is the second largest hill in the world. One of the record jumps was made by Kamil Stoch . In 2017 he reached 251 m!

In Planica, in addition to the jump, you can visit quite an interesting museum devoted to ski jumping and the entire complex. In a short distance from Planica, it is worth going to the Zelenci Reserve with a beautiful, emerald lake. On the other hand, a good starting point for exploring these surroundings can be Kranjska Gora, which together with Bovec are considered the most active and sporting towns in Slovenia.
For whom?
If you are a fan of ski jumping , you do not need to be persuaded to visit Planica. However, even if you are interested in this sport on average, go to this valley anyway. The surroundings of the ski jumping facility are full of wonderful views. And the nearby Zelenci Reserve is truly unique and delightful.
