Elbrus

Elbrus is the highest peak in Europe, although the French are arguing strenuously as to whether their Mont Blanc near Chamonix should be officially recognized. In any case, the mountain rises on the northern ridge of the Caucasus, in the region of the picturesque Baksan Valley. It definitely dominates among his countrymen - other mountains. Every year, many tourists come here to climb this summit, but there are many other routes in the region outside of it. Equally fantastic and less strenuous. And most importantly - cheaper.

Three villages lie at the foot of Elbrus. This is Cheget Polyana, Terskol and Azau in turn. In the last one you will catch the cable car to the top. Not to the top, but perfect for skiing. If you don't want to get to the top, but still want to see the peak, you have to go up one of the lifts. 'Cause you won't see him from those chills below.
For whom?
Elbrus is a great place for amateurs of climbing, trekking in the mountains and skiing. Below I have described how to reach the top itself .
