Located in eastern Romania , Miclauseni is a small town with a beautiful palace of the Sturdza family . The property is set in an ancient English-style garden . The palace was built between 1880-1904 and quickly became famous for its amazing decorations and rich collection of works of art.

The Sturdz family, who owned the building, was known for collecting rare and old books. She has created a library here rich in 60,000 unique European and Romanian works. Unfortunately, during World War II, the mansion was taken over by the Russian military and most of the impressive collection was lost. The interiors of the palace were largely destroyed and stolen. It was not until 2004 that the building was partially restored and today it is open to visitors. The Miclauseni Monastery , which dates back to 1782, is also located in the vast area around, among ancient trees.

For whom?

If you are interested in historic architecture , you will surely like the beautiful decorations of the Sturdz family palace. The property, with centuries-old gardens around, will be an ideal proposition for people who want to spend a good time in peace and quiet. If you are going to Iasi , it is also worth stopping on the way in Miclauseni to see the local palace with your own eyes.

Casa Macrina

Casa Macrina is located within the palace grounds. A historic building that fits perfectly into the atmosphere of the area. In the evening it was wonderful to take a walk around the atmospheric park, and in the morning it is of course also worth visiting the main palace. A very interesting place. The room conditions were quite basic, but we didn't miss anything. Clean, tidy and comfortable. In the morning, a very good breakfast awaited us.

This is a relatively new guesthouse. Very well equipped, nicely decorated and run by very nice and always smiling hosts. For this price, the conditions are excellent. The room was sparkling clean. Very nice remote area, so you can relax in the evening.

HOTEL GLARIS

Glaris is a modern, small hotel. When we arrived, we were very positively surprised, because for the price it offered a very comfortable room. It will be a great option for an overnight stay on the route, but there is also something to do in the area. Nice and professional service. Everything was prepared and cleaned to tip top.

Motel Imperial

Quite a nice motel located in a quiet area outside the city. Considering the hot temperatures during our stay, what we appreciated most was the swimming pool and the air conditioning in the room. We definitely needed some relaxation. Apart from that, the room was spacious and equipped to a high standard. Considering the conditions, the price was very attractive. Well, maybe the breakfast was a bit expensive, but at least it was very tasty.
