In addition, there is much lower rainfall than in the other months of the year.</p><h2> How to get?</h2><p> The most convenient way to get to Porto is <strong>by plane.</strong> You can fly to the Portuguese city from Warsaw, Wrocław and Krakow.</p>

When to visit Porto?

<p>To see all the monuments of Porto, it is worth visiting the city for at least a few days. The atmospheric streets invite you to sit in one of the cafes and taste local wine. Since 1996 <strong>, the Old Town has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.</strong></p><h3> Ponte Luis I</h3><p> The steel, two-story Ponte Luís I bridge <strong>is the city&#39;s showcase.</strong> It was built in the 19th century and its name was given in memory of Louis I. The bridge connects Porto with the city of Vila Nova de Gaia. The dance floor vibrates to the rhythm <strong>of alternative music</strong> from the repertoire of great DJs, and the whole experience is enhanced by a professionally prepared drink.</p><h3> Gare Club</h3><p> A great place for techno music fans. The club is located in the basement and offers an unforgettable party until the morning. Come there even if you don&#39;t like dancing. Gare Club creates a great atmosphere for <strong>meeting friends over a drink.</strong></p>

<h3>Cruise on the Douro River</h3><p> During a boat cruise on the Douro River, you can admire the city&#39;s architecture and picturesque landscapes. From this perspective, Porto looks even more stunning. <h3>Torreão do Jardim do Palácio</h3><p> This is one of the few scenic spots that are not visited by crowds of tourists. <strong>Torreão do Jardim do Palácio</strong> is actually a tower of the palace gardens. It offers a beautiful <strong>panorama of Vila Nova de Gaia</strong> right on the Douro River. To get there, you have to pass through quiet and pleasant gardens where you can meet charming peacocks.</p><h3> ABOUT! Gallery</h3><p> If you think that the terms <strong>eccentric and alternative</strong> fit you and you like modern art, be sure to check out <strong>Ó! Galeria</strong> (Rua de Miguel Bombarda 61). This is a great art gallery where you can purchase works by <strong>local artists</strong> . The works are clearly inspired by the <strong>art deco</strong> style and contain unique and original graphics. The attention to the quality of the work is visible, and their prices are not too high.</p><h3 class="DUwDvf fontHeadlineLarge"> Half Rabbit</h3><p> This is a great example of street art that can delight and terrify at the same time. <strong>Half Rabbit</strong> (R. de Santa M.nha 5-39, Vila Nova de Gaia) is a huge rabbit-shaped &#39;sculpture&#39; made of <strong>garbage collected from the city</strong> . The mural was created by the Portuguese <strong>Bordallo II,</strong> its purpose is to spread ecological awareness of residents and is an expression of criticism of today&#39;s consumerism and waste.</p><h3> Casa da Guitarra</h3><p> <strong>Fado</strong> may not necessarily be strictly from Porto, but it&#39;s best to hear it live. <strong>Casa da Guitarra</strong> (Av. Vimara Peres 49) is not an ordinary instrument store, but a real gem of the city. Guitars are treated like deities here, many are hung on the walls, which creates a unique atmosphere. From time to time <strong>, exhibitions and fado music concerts</strong> are held here, accompanied by two guitarists and a singer with an angelic voice, and the whole thing is complemented by a glass of classic <strong>Tawna</strong> .</p><h3> Roca de los Gatos</h3><p> Literally translated <strong>, Roca de los Gatos</strong> means Cat Rock. Go there in the evening, just before sunset, and you will be able to enjoy the sunny spectacle over Porto without crowds of tourists because few people know about this spot. The rock requires some <strong>climbing</strong> , but if you are at least somewhat physically fit, you should be able to do it.</p>

Off the trail

<h3>Confeitaria São Domingos</h3><p> For delicious Portuguese sweets, it is worth visiting <strong>Confeitaria São Domingos</strong> (Largo São Domingos 37). This is not a confectionery geared towards tourists, which is why the cakes do not taste like they came from a production line. You can feel the tradition and love for baking in them. Here you will get <strong>delicious coffee and some of the tastiest Pastéis de Nata in Porto</strong> . We highly recommend this place if you want a sweet breakfast <strong>full of Portuguese authenticity</strong> .</p><h3> Aduel</h3><p> A perfect place for an evening drink or a glass of wine accompanied by a cheese and cold cuts board. <strong>Aduela</strong> (R. Das Oliveiras 36)<strong> </strong>it&#39;s a bar that&#39;s bustling with life in the morning, but only in the evenings does it get really <strong>crowded</strong> . Fortunately, it is conducive to making new friends, and in such <strong>a pleasant and warm atmosphere</strong> it is very easy. There is often <strong>live music</strong> in the bar and the guests are mostly young Portuguese.</p><h3> Buffet Fase</h3><p> Their specialty is the flagship Portuguese fast food - <strong>Francesinha</strong> . It&#39;s a sandwich with a lot of meat, eggs, covered with cheese and dipped in beer sauce. It&#39;s a real <strong>caloric bomb</strong> , you&#39;ll gain weight just by looking at it, but we&#39;re sure it will be <strong>love at first bite</strong> . In <strong>Bufete Fase</strong> (R. de Santa Catarina 1147), instead of an egg, you put a piece of sausage on top and the beer sauce has two options - <strong>mild and spicy</strong> . If you are not a fan of spicy cuisine, choose the first option.</p><h3> Casa Expresso</h3><p> The authenticity of this pub is confirmed mainly by <strong>the tables full of Porto residents</strong> . It is at <strong>Casa Expresso</strong> (Praça de Carlos Alberto 73) that you will get truly Portuguese food, prepared according to traditional recipes. Don&#39;t be put off by the ugly decor or cold lights. Inside <strong>, the atmosphere is warm and family-like</strong> , and the dishes themselves explain why there are so many Portones here. Be prepared for the fact that most of the staff do not speak English. No wonder, there are as many tourists here as a cat cried. A must-order item is <strong>Rojões</strong> , it can be prepared as <strong>a snack in a roll</strong> or as <strong>a dish with side dishes and salad</strong> .</p>

Where to eat in Porto?

<p>Are you dreaming of a visit to a city that <strong>tastes like seafood and wine</strong> ? The name Porto View by Patio 25 includes apartments for rent. They are located on the other side of the Douro, practically under the Ponte Luís bridge. And you can actually admire the amazing panorama of the river and Porto itself from there. Our apartment was fully furnished and had all the necessary gadgets useful during a several-day stay.

Happy Porto Hostel is located relatively close to all important attractions of the city. The windows offer a phenomenal view of the river. Great interior design, plenty of space even in multi-person dorms. Even though I don&#39;t like hostels, I had a great time living in this one.

For people looking for a hotel close to the most important attractions of Porto, I recommend Hotel Carris Porto Ribeira. In terms of location, it is unrivaled. From the windows you can see the Ponte Luis bridge and the river. The building in which it is located is historic, but the interiors are kept in a modern style.

Casa Carolina is the perfect place if you plan to stay in Porto for a longer time. It is located within the center. Offers apartments. Ours was simply amazing. From the decor, to the square footage and the view from the windows. In addition, very nice staff and great breakfasts.

Flores Boutique Hotel &amp; Spa is a perfect place for a romantic getaway for two. It is located in the absolute heart of Porto, inside a building from the 18th century. There is a swimming pool and a beautiful garden. The views – a fairy tale! The meals were very tasty and the room was 100% comfortable.
