When to visit Lisbon?

<p>Lisbon is a city bustling with life. There are both jazz clubs and those where you can listen to fado music. Fans of hot rhythms and madness on the dance floor will also find suitable places for themselves.</p><h3> Bairro Alto</h3><p> <strong>The Bairro Alto district has two faces.</strong> During the day it is incredibly quiet, but in the evening it changes beyond recognition. Hundreds of people come there to try cold beer or wine in numerous establishments. An atmospheric place is <strong>Galeria Zé dos Bois</strong> , where you can listen to a live concert and have a drink with friends.</p><h3> Docas</h3><p> <strong>Some of the Lisbon docks are full of atmospheric pubs.</strong> Former warehouses have been restored and transformed into cafes, restaurants and clubs. You can both eat dinner here and party until dawn, all in beautiful nature.</p>

However, <strong>the Frontier Palace</strong> is not very popular due to its considerable distance from the center and limited opening hours. This is because it is still inhabited by the Frontiera family and it is only thanks to their kindness that they make their estate available to tourists. In the palace garden, it is worth taking a look at <strong>the largest 17th century collection of Portuguese azulejos</strong> .</p><h3> LX Factory</h3><p> Today, the old <strong>factory complex</strong> is a distinctive <strong>industrial and artistic space</strong> where you can spend your free time pleasantly. A multitude of innovative pubs, numerous murals, interesting street art and a ubiquitous relaxed atmosphere make this an attractive place attracting many young people. Every Sunday there is <strong>a flea market</strong> here, where you can find vintage gems, and in the hot season the place abounds in many events such as concerts and art exhibitions.</p><h3> Lisbon Supper Club</h3><p> If you are traveling alone and don&#39;t know where to go to meet new people, <strong>Jake from Lisbon</strong> has the perfect proposition for you. He creates cyclical events, most often in the form of a joint dinner that takes place in his apartment. The main goal of <strong>the Lisbon Supper Club</strong> is to spend pleasant time with delicious <strong>food</strong> , unlimited <strong>alcohol</strong> and good <strong>company</strong> . Several/dozen people can register for one event, there are no restrictions apart from the number of participants. You only pay an entry fee covering the cost of food and alcohol, among other things, and anyone from anywhere can join the dinner!</p><h3> Panoramico de Monsanto</h3><p> It is located an hour&#39;s walk from the city center, where you can see <strong>the panorama</strong> of the entire Lisbon. At the turn of the 1960s and 1970s it was a luxurious restaurant, now the abandoned building is the best place in Lisbon to watch the unforgettable spectacle of the setting sun. This <strong>eccentric place</strong> brings together <strong>street art and independent art installations</strong> . Dangerous places have been cordoned off and the building is open from morning to evening. There you will find numerous <strong>graffiti</strong> , an unusual <strong>stained glass window</strong> and a scribbled <strong>car wreck</strong> . All this creates a unique atmosphere that cannot be found at standard viewpoints.</p><h3> Mercado da Ribeira</h3><p> If you are arguing about which place to eat, be sure to go to Mercado da Ribeira. <strong>It is a fish and vegetable market with numerous restaurants</strong> . The atmosphere is created <strong>by consumption on the sidewalk and the authenticity of the place</strong> . Even though the place looks quite inconspicuous, it is better not to miss it, as you may have <strong>an unforgettable culinary experience</strong> right next to you. It&#39;s better to order two at once, because despite their large size, bifans disappear in the blink of an eye!</p><h3> About Bitoque</h3><p> The saying &quot;clothes do not make the man&quot; also applies in this place. This seemingly unattractive-looking place serves delicious <strong>Portuguese cuisine</strong> at very attractive prices. <strong>O Bitoque</strong> (R. Ferreira Borges 59 61) is a family restaurant visited mainly by locals. Be sure to try <strong>the bitoque and bread soup.</strong> Sit outside or at the bar and enjoy real Portuguese flavors.</p><h3> Pastelaria Santo António</h3><p> In the charming Alfama district, we can find a pastry shop that won the competition for the best Pastéis de Nata in 2019. <strong>Santo António</strong> (R. do Milagre de Santo António 10) is much less known than the famous Pastéis de Belém, which is why the queues are slightly smaller and the production is not industrial. The famous <strong>Portuguese pudding cookies</strong> , baked on a regular basis, melt in your mouth, and the crispy dough and delicate, smooth cream will remain in your memory for a long time. The classic Polish saying definitely applies here - good, not too sweet!</p><h3> About Velho Eurico</h3><p> If you are looking for a proven place to try local <strong>seafood and local cuisine</strong> , the <strong>O Velho Eurico</strong> restaurant will guarantee you an unforgettable culinary journey across the seas and oceans. Located on Largo São Cristóvão nº3, it attracts hungry locals and tourists every day, ready to give their lives for a free table. Well, maybe not life, but you definitely have to take into account that the place is very crowded. It is worth booking a table in advance or arriving <strong>before the opening of the premises</strong> .</p>

Where to eat in Lisbon?

<p>Lisbon is the capital and largest city of <a href="https://brate.com/europe/portugal/">Portugal</a> , charmingly situated on <strong>seven hills.</strong> Its streets mix history with modernity, open spaces with narrow streets, and unusual architecture with charming green areas and parks. Destination Hostel in Lisbon is a unique place on the city&#39;s accommodation map. Because it is located in the building of the Rossio railway station. It is a beautiful building in the central part of Lisbon. The hostel was a great base for me to explore the city. The conditions are great - spacious atrium, bright rooms, clean and large bathrooms. The service is very nice. There is no problem with leaving your luggage for storage.

The Independente is a proposition for people who like the atmosphere of hostels, but prefer slightly better conditions. First of all, it is located in an art deco palace. The interiors are incredibly stylish, with great furniture. The dormitories have triple-decker beds. But very comfortable, so I had no problems sleeping.

If you are looking for accommodation in Lisbon with a great view, then Casa Balthazar will definitely appeal to you. My wife and I rented an apartment there with a kitchenette. Nicely decorated, with everything necessary during your stay (cutlery, dishes, pots, towels, etc.). We also had a garden with a swimming pool at our disposal.

Casinha das Flores is a charming, intimate hotel in the Chiado district. I walked everywhere because the most important attractions were within walking distance. The room was beautiful - decorated in historic interiors. Breakfasts are a separate story - all products of the highest quality, a wide selection of dishes.
