One of the country's most important monuments rises close to the southern border of Latvia, amid idyllic plains. It is, of course, the Rundale Palace (Rundāles pils muzejs). It was built in the 16th century in a baroque style . However, most of the decorations that can still be admired there are from the 18th century. The Rundale Palace is of course open to the public.

Be sure to go on the longer route, which leads through the most beautiful, palace nooks and crannies. Rundale is not only about architecture, however. The palace is also a sensation thanks to the French garden and the rose garden . In addition to wonderful plants, a green amphitheater, beautiful fountains and numerous walking paths await you there.
For whom?
A visit to the Rundale Palace will appeal primarily to fans of gardening, park layouts and beautiful vegetation. The area surrounding this monument impresses with its attention to detail, the selection of flowers and shrubs, and small architecture. You will also like the palace itself when you like sightseeing and you are eager to travel back in time while exploring this type of centuries-old buildings.
