Although Ischia is the largest island in the Gulf of Naples, it is one of the less known and less visited islands. Why is this happening? First of all, because it loses to the much more popular and world-famous island of Capri . However, if you are looking for intimate places, this is probably good news for you. Even in the high season, Ischia is not as crowded with tourists as its neighbors.

Of course, it is famous for its numerous beautiful beaches. But not only because of them it is worth going there. One of the biggest attractions of Ischi is the Aragonese Castle (Castello Aragonese d'Ischia), located on a small island, with a causeway. A walk among the medieval walls is an experience in itself. In addition, great views make you fall in love with this place at first sight. Another interesting point of the island is Lacco Ameno with its intriguing rock formations.

For whom?

Primarily for seekers of a cozy atmosphere . Although Ischia is relatively close to Naples , it is not high on the list of top tourist destinations. But that doesn't mean there's nothing to do there. You will also like it if you are looking for nice, uncrowded beaches . Sightseeing fans will also have a lot to do here.

Tenuta Del Poggio Antico

I spent 4 days in this hotel and I will definitely come back. This is a really great resort, located in an exceptionally picturesque place (mountains, rocks, sea view). It has a beautifully arranged garden with a swimming pool. The room was tastefully decorated. Peace and quiet, intimate atmosphere.

Villa Araucaria

Villa Araucaria is located in the northern part of the island. I have fond memories of staying there. Mainly because it has a nice garden with a swimming pool and is really nicely decorated. Additionally, it is not a large facility, so you can relax here without the crowd of other guests. And these views!
Villa Lentisco

Villa Lentisco

Lentisco is a guesthouse worth recommending. It may not be the most luxurious place on the island. But on the other hand, we came here not for luxury, but for wonderful views and nice beaches. It is close to the port, there are pleasant walking areas around. The room was large and we had a private outdoor lounge area. Good value for money.

Hotel Da Maria

We quickly fell in love with Hotel Da Maria. This is a place for people looking for peace and closeness to nature. It is situated on the seafront, right next to the cliffs and surrounded by greenery. The beach may be small, but that's okay. The views are stunning. The room fully met our expectations. Kudos to the staff - very nice people.
