The island of Rab

The island of Rab is situated in the Kvarner area, facing the Velebit massif on the mainland. Its tourist center and the most important town is the town of Rab in the western part. There you can see quite an interesting old town located on a narrow peninsula.

The island of Rab, thanks to its varied coastline, also offers a large number of beautiful beaches . And despite the rather harsh landscape full of rocks, it is a pretty good proposition for those who would like to spend a lazy vacation in Croatia. An interesting fact is that excursions to the nearby island of Goli Otok are organized from Rab. During the times of Yugoslavia, there was a labor camp and a prison for opponents of the then power and political system.

For whom?

If you are going to Croatia to relax, rest and do little , then consider staying on the Island of Rab. Especially that even in high seasons you won't meet crowds there. Prices, like on the island, will be higher than on land. But it will still be cheaper here than, for example, on Hvar or Korcula .
