Most Polish parishes organize pilgrimages to Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This town, next to Fatima and Lourdes, is one of the most popular pilgrimage destinations in Europe . The inconspicuous Medjugorje is heavily besieged by believers from all over the world for most of the year. However, it must be admitted that Poles are dominant among them.

Why do so many people visit Medjugorje? Well, on June 24, 1981, Our Lady appeared there to six children . Parts of him who are now grown-up people come out all the time. The problem, however, is that the Vatican has still not responded to these apparitions. He did not find them neither false nor true. However, there is a large group of people who believe that they are not behind God's power, but the power of Satan. However, this does not prevent crowds of believers from visiting this Bosnian shrine.
For whom?
Medjugorje itself does not have many attractions. However, it undoubtedly has many places where you can devote yourself to prayer and contemplation. That is why Medjugorje is indeed an ideal pilgrimage destination . However, if you want to go sightseeing, go to other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Hotel Marconi
Hotel Marconi może nie jest najtańszy, ale na za wyższą ceną idzie wyższa jakość. Spędziłem tam dwie noce. Pokój był bardzo schludny i wygodny. Śniadania są serwowane w formie bufetu szwedzkiego i są bardzo smaczne. Duży plus za przemiłą obsługę. Hotel Marconi był jednym z lepszych miejsc w jakich nocowałem w Bośni i Hercegowinie.
Hotel Glorija
Na Hotel Glorija zdecydowałem się ze względu na to, że to dość kameralne i spokojne miejsce. Dzięki niesamowicie wygodnemu łóżku spałem tam, jak dziecko. W cenę pobytu wliczone jest śniadanie. Aczkolwiek mogliby nieco popracować nad jego jakością. Było dość monotonne. Natomiast dużym atutem hotelu jest jego lokalizacja – w samym centrum Medjugorie.
