Mir Castle

Mir is a small town located in the central part of Belarus . It is famous primarily for the amazing castle located on its outskirts. It is one of the best-preserved castle complexes in the whole country. Its history dates back to the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. After numerous changes of owners and many reconstructions, today you can admire the renovated, impressive defensive walls and the amazing castle interiors that have been converted into a museum . The exhibition will guide you through successive rooms filled with souvenirs from different historical periods. You will learn about the everyday life of its inhabitants here.

The castle, despite its relatively small size, is still impressive today. In 2000, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List . A small part of the castle has been converted into a hotel. If you decide to stay in it, you will be able to feel royal for a while. In a break from sightseeing and relaxation, be sure to take a walk around the castle, in the pretty park where the Światopełk-Mirski Chapel is located. In the near distance from Mir, there is the second famous Belarusian castle in Niasvizh.
