Choroni

Choroni is a small town that, together with its neighbor, Puerto Colombia, is located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, roughly halfway between Caracas and Puerto Cabello. The town delights with colonial buildings and beautiful surroundings. In its close vicinity is the Henri Pittier National Park (Parque Nacional Henri Pittier) with its misty forests.

Besides, the road connecting Choroni with Maracay, built by the Venezuelan dictator Juan Vicente Gomez, runs through this protected area. However, what attracts tourists to the town is primarily the beach. More precisely, Playa Grande , also commonly known as Playa Choroni. It is situated in a bay surrounded by mountains whose slopes are covered with dense forests. The scenery is truly heavenly, Caribbean and beautiful.
