Punta del Este

When looking for information about Punta del Este , you have probably found a comparison that it is the Uruguayan St. Tropez . It cannot be denied that this resort is one of the most popular and fashionable in the whole country. But Punta del Este is not only about parties. These are, first of all , wonderful beaches that stretch both along the peninsula and a little further from it. The eastern shoreline, called Brava , is really windy, while the western Mansa offers a bit more secluded conditions. One of the symbols of the city is the statue of Mano de Punta del Este . These are the five fingers emerging from the sands of Bravo Beach. The sculpture was designed in 1982 by Chilean artist Mario Irarrázabal. Make sure to take a picture with her!
