Punta del Diablo

Punta del Diablo is a small town on the eastern coast of Uruguay, which for many years was a quiet, fishing village. When its tourist potential was noticed, it turned into a resort, which, however, did not forget about its old traditions. What is the greatest advantage of Punta del Diablo?

Wonderful long sandy beaches that attract both Uruguayans and foreign visitors. The town is appreciated by surfers . The ocean offers great surf here. And where did the "devil's name" of the resort come from? Well, many ships have crashed in this area. Hence, the locals believed that this place was cursed and dangerous in its own way. Currently, you will have a different impression, because the idyllic atmosphere is conducive to relaxation. To the south of the city there is a national park - Parque Nacional de Santa Teresa , where you can admire 2 million exotic and local trees. It is a perfect place for a walk, but also for sunbathing, because within the park you can find really beautiful beaches.
For whom?
If during your stay in Uruguay you feel like sunbathing , then consider relaxing in Punta del Diablo. What's more, it will be a good starting point for a visit to Cabo Polonio or the Parque Nacional de Santa Teresa.
