Nazca is a city known mainly for one reason. It is in its vicinity that there are amazing geolifs, i.e. lines carved in the desert. They are arranged in specific shapes. Here you can see, among others hummingbird, monkey or frigate. They measure up to 300 m in height. Researchers are still not entirely sure why they were created. It is known that the Nazca Indians are behind their creation. Probably the geolifs they forged were used during rituals related to summoning rain.

Nazca
Nazca, Peru

The Nazca region is very, very dry. Due to their unique nature, they are included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. It is best to look at the drawings from Nazca from above. This is facilitated by the observation tower (13 m high) and tourist flights organized there. One of the drawings (El Candelabro) can be admired during a boat trip to the Paracas Peninsula.

For whom?

If you would like to see one of the most famous attractions in all of Peru, then be sure to stop by Nazca. In fact, remember that from ground level geolifs appear to be mere lines / ditches. Only from a considerable height you can admire their shapes and sizes.

Casa Blanca

I can definitely recommend staying at the Casa Blanca guesthouse. A place with a very homely atmosphere. The interior is rather simple, but neat and very cozy. The hosts are very nice and very helpful. Thanks to them, the stay was even more successful.

Hotel Alegria Nasca

In my opinion, one of the best hotels in the whole city. The building itself has quite interesting architecture. The advantage of the hotel is undoubtedly the outdoor swimming pool. A perfect option to relax. Additionally, there is a really well-kept garden surrounding it. The room was sparkling clean. The price for the stay was competitive compared to other places, especially considering the quality.

Casa Andina Standard Nasca

Casa Andina is a great choice for a stay in Nazca. The place has a lot of charm. There is a lot of vegetation, there is an outdoor swimming pool. I really appreciated the breakfasts there, which were diverse by local standards and allowed me to taste many delicious things. A strong 5 room with a big plus.

DM Hoteles Nasca

I spent two nights in this hotel. It was a very successful and trouble-free stay. It is a beautiful, very well-kept facility. An amazing garden and swimming pools that create a kind of oasis. The hotel is located in the city center. The room was amazing - I liked everything there.
