Would you like to see the Peruvian paradise on earth? Then be sure to plan a visit to Huascaran National Park, which stretches across the city of Huaraz. This park is primarily protected by the Cordillera Blanca massif along with Peru's highest peak, Huascaran. It has two peaks, the southern of which reaches a height of 6,768 m above sea level. There are many local legends about this mountain, mainly from the Quechua Indians, who for centuries had to deal with the forces of nature at work here.
