Cuzco is one of the most important cities in Peru. Primarily because it was the capital of the Inca Empire . It was founded in the 13th century and for three consecutive centuries it belonged to this people. Later, the city was conquered by the Spaniards who made it their base for further colonization. Fortunately, they didn't destroy everything that Inca culture had created.

They demolished something, they rebuilt something. As a result, Cuzco is now an interesting example of colonial architecture mixed with traces of the Inca. For this reason, it was included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List . In the city you will find many interesting monuments, the most important are the remains of the Temple of the Sun and the cathedral. It is also worth visiting the Sacsayhuamán fortress , which offers a phenomenal panorama of Cuzco and the surrounding area.

For whom?

You will definitely visit Cusco if you are fascinated by Inca culture . Here you will be able to explore its history, and what's more, the city is a good starting point, for example to Machu Picchu. Cuzco will also appeal to people who like to visit . There are a lot of monuments waiting for them.

Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel by Marriott

There are many great hotels in Cusco. But we decided to stay overnight at a Marriott. It is located in the very center - close to the main square and the railway station. It occupies the interior of a beautiful building with a courtyard. Large rooms, nicely decorated and equipped.

Simply a fantastic hotel. Not only is it in the center, but it also offers beautiful views, great atmosphere and high quality services. The hotel is located in an atmospheric building. There is also a very nice garden. Breakfasts are the absolute masterpiece of the world - a large selection of fruit, vegetables, bread and other delicacies.

Sonesta Hotel Cusco

We stayed here for three nights and were very happy with our choice. First of all, we were tempted by the competitive price, for Cuzco. The location was also very OK. The room met our expectations - it was clean and spacious. We also rate the breakfasts highly - there was something new to choose from every day.
Antigua Casona San Blas

Antigua Casona San Blas

Antigua Casona San Blas is, in my opinion, the best possible choice when it comes to Cuzco. Besides, it was probably the best hotel I stayed in during my entire stay in Peru. Amazing interiors - a room with a large bed and beautiful, carved furniture. There is an excellent restaurant on site - I recommend both breakfasts and lunches!

Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel

This boutique hotel will surely meet the expectations of even the most demanding tourists. I was enchanted - both by the interior design and the atmosphere there. The service goes out of its way to ensure that guests leave here 100% satisfied. I can't find one thing, even small, to complain about.
