El Cocuy, or more specifically the El Cocuy National Park (Parque Natural Sierra Nevada del Cocuy Chita o Guican), is one of the most spectacular places in all of Colombia. Imagine two mountain ranges 30 km long 4 km wide. And in their area: 150 lagoons , 25 snow-covered or icy peaks between 4800 and 5330 m above sea level, a belt of Andean forest and a jungle. Sounds good right?

The incredible biodiversity of El Cocuy National Park makes it a dream destination. Thanks to numerous routes, you will be able to reach many of the local attractions and enjoy the unforgettable landscapes. However, it is worth remembering that the eastern part of the park is closed to tourists . Why? Because it covers an area considered sacred by the indigenous people of Uwa. Either way, there are really a lot of interesting places to see and visit waiting for you.
For whom?
It cannot be denied that El Cocuy is a proposition primarily for mountain fans . If you belong to this group, you will surely be delighted with the high, soaring peaks and unforgettable views.
