Amacayacu National Park (Parque Nacional Natural Amacayacu) covers the Colombian part of the Amazon rainforest, located at the southwestern tip of the country. What does it protect? Above all, 5,000 plant species ! These areas are home to of all Colombian bird species and slightly less than half of all mammals. This makes Amacayacu the most biodiverse corner of this South American country.

It is here that you can see the world's largest freshwater turtle and a lion marmoset , i.e. the smallest primate in the world. The Amacayacu area is not easy to explore. But the effort put into getting to know it will pay off with unforgettable experiences and the possibility of communing with truly untouched and untouched nature.
