Ouro Preto

Ouro Preto , which translates as " black gold ", is situated among the picturesque mountains of Minas. The city was founded in the 17th century. It was then that gold deposits were discovered here, which attracted prospectors of precious metal, as well as traders and slaves to this part of Brazil. Ouro Preto began to develop rapidly.
