Brasilia , the capital of Brazil , took over from Rio de Janeiro in 1960. The reason for this change was its central location, which was to facilitate the management of the country. It is worth adding that Brasilia was built from scratch , and three architects were behind its urban design: Oscar Niemeyer, Lucio Coste and Joaquim Cardozo. The modernist style dominates in the architecture and layout of the city.

Brasilia

Futuristic, concrete buildings are surrounded by a lot of greenery. Most importantly, there is a lot of space here, which was to guarantee air movement and adequate lighting. The city is steeped in national symbols . And the most important of them is the condor on which Brasilia was built. And although visually it may be appealing, with time it turned out that people ... really want to live there. It turned out that as an artificial creation, Brasilia is simply a place difficult to live and function in. Nevertheless, it is worth seeing. Because buildings such as the Cathedral of Our Lady of Aparecida that looks like a wigwam or the Congresso Nacional live make a really strong impression.

For whom?

Visit Brasilia if you are a fan of modernist architecture . You will have a lot to watch here. A visit to the capital of Brazil is also a good option to get to know the modern history of the country better.

We highly recommend this hotel! Perfect conditions, but above all, a beautiful view of the surrounding area. And this view is worth stopping there for. Rooftop swimming pool, convenient parking, well-functioning air conditioning in the room. The price is also very affordable.

Royal Tulip Brasília Alvorada

Royal Tulip is ideally situated on the banks of the river. A bit from the center, but it was OK for us. Because we cared more about views, silence, peace and comfort. And this is what the hotel offered. It also has a great outdoor area with a large swimming pool. Great room, delicious food.

Grand Mercure Brasilia Eixo Monumental

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days. The hotel is in a class by itself. Elegant, modern interiors. High quality of services provided. Close to the center, but also to pleasant walking areas. The price is surprisingly not very high at all. It's worth paying extra for breakfast because it's worth it.

Joy Hostel & Suítes

It will certainly be the best possible choice when it comes to low-budget accommodation in Brasilia. The hostel offers both private rooms and dormitories. Very clean, everything well-kept. There weren't many guests during our visit, so the atmosphere was quite intimate. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and what to do in the area.

Naoum Hotel

We chose Hotel Naoum mainly because of its central location. Nice room, tastefully decorated. The facility itself is small, which guarantees peace and quiet. Well-functioning WiFi, tasty breakfasts, friendly service. Very comfortable bed. Absolutely hassle-free stay.
