Brasilia

Brasilia , the capital of Brazil , took over from Rio de Janeiro in 1960. The reason for this change was its central location, which was to facilitate the management of the country. It is worth adding that Brasilia was built from scratch , and three architects were behind its urban design: Oscar Niemeyer, Lucio Coste and Joaquim Cardozo. The modernist style dominates in the architecture and layout of the city.

Futuristic, concrete buildings are surrounded by a lot of greenery. Most importantly, there is a lot of space here, which was to guarantee air movement and adequate lighting. The city is steeped in national symbols . And the most important of them is the condor on which Brasilia was built. And although visually it may be appealing, with time it turned out that people ... really want to live there. It turned out that as an artificial creation, Brasilia is simply a place difficult to live and function in. Nevertheless, it is worth seeing. Because buildings such as the Cathedral of Our Lady of Aparecida that looks like a wigwam or the Congresso Nacional live make a really strong impression.
For whom?
Visit Brasilia if you are a fan of modernist architecture . You will have a lot to watch here. A visit to the capital of Brazil is also a good option to get to know the modern history of the country better.
