Tarija
Autor, Travelbay
Many Bolivians consider the south of their country to be ... parochial. As a result, tourists visit it less often, believing that they will not find places worth their attention. Well, nothing could be more wrong. In the south there is, among others, Tarija . This city, although it is not a metropolis, can be a pretty good starting point to explore attractions such as: Potosi, where there was a silver mine, or Sucre, which is the constitutional capital of Bolivia.

Tarija itself is an important wine center of the country . On site, you will be able to take part in a tasting, e.g. by sitting in one of the charming streets of the old town and observing the everyday life of the inhabitants. There are also some interesting attractions in the city. It is worth seeing the amazing architecture of Castillo Azul Moises Navajas and Casa Dorada , known as the Golden House.
For whom?
If you are looking for places that are not on the top of the top lists , then Tarija will be a great proposition for you. Moreover, here you can count on a look at the non-commercial side of Bolivia. Here you will see a normal life. You will either not meet other tourists at all, or you will come across them sporadically.
