Located on the border with Brazil, the Noel Kempff Mercado National Park (Parque Nacional Noel Kempff Mercado) covers one of the most unspoiled places not only in Bolivia, but also in South America. It is centered around the Huanchaca plateau and allows you to admire numerous, very rare species of plants and animals.

Noel Kempff Mercado also impresses with landscapes, including numerous waterfalls. The most famous is Arco Iris , 22 meters high. Another highlight of the national park is the Guaporé River Cruise where you can admire the pink river dolphins. Of course, the national park will also appeal to fans of ornithology. Due to the low population density and the lack of larger cities in the vicinity, birds are used in this area. It is also worth mentioning that Noel Kempff Mercado was under the protection of UNESCO because of its uniqueness and virginity.

Noel Kempff Mercado is one of those places that is off the main tourist routes . Mainly because the nearest big city, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, is almost 600 km away from there. So if you want to visit this national park, you will have to make some effort . You can choose to drive a rented car on your own or buy a trip in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
