Madidi National Park (Parque Nacional Madidi) is an absolute paradise on earth. You will ask why? Well, it is the most biodiverse area on our planet . It stretches in the northwest of Bolivia, along the border with Peru. In the Madidi National Park, 20,000 plant species have been identified, but mainly 272 species of mammals, 213 species of amphibians, 204 species of reptiles, 496 species of fish and 1254 species of birds.

Interestingly, biologists are constantly discovering new, previously unclassified inhabitants there. Hence, some refer to the Madidi National Park as the " largest zoo" on the globe . Of course, such a garden where all animals live in the wild, and people here are only occasional guests. Madidi can be explored, but after paying the admission fee and preferably under the supervision of a qualified guide. It is also worth remembering that the accommodation places are outside the park. The village of Rurrenabaque can be a good base.

If you love wild nature and are not afraid of the hardships of travel , the Madidi National Park will be open to you. Remember that getting to this part of Bolivia will take your time and energy. But Madidi will more than compensate you. You will be able to admire the amazing vegetation, numerous colorful birds and other species of animals that will decide to show themselves to you.
