The small town of San Juan , located in western Argentina, is known to wine makers. It is the second largest wine region in the whole country. It consists of almost 50 thousand. hectares of vineyards that are concentrated in four nearby valleys: Tulum, Zonda, Ullum and a little further located Pedernal. It produces, among others, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec or Muscat. However, the choice is much greater.

There are several interesting museums in the city. Be sure to check out the Wine Museum (Museo Bodega Santiago Graffigna). First of all, you will be able to taste local liquors there and learn a bit more about the wine-growing traditions of the region. There is also a very interesting Museum of Natural Sciences (Museo de Cwienas Naturales) in San Juan , and the very center with 25 de Mayo square , which surprises with lots of greenery, is recommended for a walk.

For whom?

Do you like wine , are you interested in the process of its production and do you dream of walking through the vineyards? Then plan at least one day in San Juan. The city is quite calm and sleepy (especially in the summer season). But thanks to the museum, you will spend your time there in an interesting and productive way during breaks from wine tasting.
