Aconcagua - the symbol peak. It is not only the highest point in Argentina, but also the entire Andes and South America. Aconcagua is 6962 m above sea level and belongs to the Crown of the Mountains of the Earth. It rises in the west of Argentina, close to the border with Chile. It is 180 km away from Mendoza. Conquering Aconcagua is not an easy feat.

It requires proper preparation, acclimatization, equipment, skills and… a bag of money. As climbing this summit is not cheap. It is easily accessible by road number 7 that leads to Chile. On its site you will find many easy trekking routes, guaranteeing great views.
