San Cristobal , or more specifically San Cristobal de las Casas, belongs to the Pueblos Mágicos (Magic Cities) group. This title is awarded to those cities that have retained their original architecture, traditions, history and culture over the centuries. The list also includes those that were of great importance for the country's history. San Cristobal is, above all, a great colonial development with some amazing monuments.

Hotel Grand Maria

Gran Maria is a stunning facility. Colonial architecture, colonial furniture. You can feel the history and culture of the city itself. Perfect conditions - everything was organized in tip top condition. In addition, a good location allows you to quickly reach the most important attractions of San Cristobal.
Hotel Posada El Zaguán

Hotel Posada El Zaguán

I was absolutely enchanted by this hotel. Posada El Zaguán is the quintessence of coziness. The interior is filled with amazing furniture and numerous trinkets that create a unique aura of this place. The price is ridiculously low. What's more, it included breakfast (very good and quite plentiful, by the way).
Hotel Casa Margarita

Hotel Casa Margarita

I spent two nights at Casa Margarita. The absolute center of the city, a stone's throw from most monuments. Very good living conditions, for little money. Very nice service. Breakfast is served on the patio, right next to the street. So you can observe the life of the city. The room was beautiful and clean.
Hotel Santa Clara

Hotel Santa Clara

Hotel Santa Clara is a very good choice when it comes to San Cristobal. It is located in a building from the 16th century! Beautiful courtyard. Very well-kept interiors with an amazing atmosphere and decor. Breakfasts were charged extra. I didn't decide to go there because there are plenty of restaurants around where you can eat cheaply and well.
Hotel Diego de Mazariegos

Hotel Diego de Mazariegos

This is a really good hotel, located in the center of San Cristobal. The whole is decorated in a colonial, elegant style. Our room was lovely, spacious and very comfortable. The service was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good, although quite small. So it's probably better to eat out.
