Paricutin
Autor, Brate
Paricutin is a peculiar phenomenon. Under this name there is a volcano , considered by some (well, mainly by local residents) to be the youngest volcano in the world. Without going into how old he is, it is worth emphasizing that he was discovered ... on February 20, 1943 . It "grew" in a cornfield and actively ravaged the area for several years. Currently, it is 2800 m above sea level and it can be climbed (under the supervision of a guide).

Horse-riding excursions, during which he climbs the crater rim, are very popular. You can also go down inside. Paricutin is currently not active. But some people say that it is a temporary state, because the volcano is dormant. Being in this area, be sure to go to the church of St. Jana Parangaricutiro (Antigua Iglesia de San Juan Parangaricutiro). Or rather, to its ruins, because the temple was flooded by lava.
For whom?
A trip to Paricutin is an interesting idea to check off a place outside the main Mexican tourist routes . Enthusiasts of hiking or horse riding will love it here. If you are looking for extraordinary places during your trip, Paricutin will also meet your expectations in this case.
