Merida is located at the northwestern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula and serves as the capital of this Mexican region. Referred to as the "White City", it delights tourists with its colonial, well-kept architecture. It was built in the place where the Mayan city previously existed. The colonizers demolished them and used the remaining building materials to build new facilities.

Hotel Doralba Inn

It's not hard to find a good hotel in Merida. I chose Doralba Inn. Mainly because it is located close to the city center. Secondly, there is an outdoor swimming pool, so you could relax during a break from sightseeing. What's more, the price for the stay was ridiculously low and the conditions were really good.

El Palacito Secreto Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa

This boutique hotel turned out to be an absolute hit. The very center of the city, beautiful architecture of the building and a fantastic outdoor area. There is a well-kept garden and a swimming pool. In the evening, the whole area is nicely lit, creating a pleasant, slightly magical atmosphere. The room also met my expectations, and I really enjoyed the breakfasts.

Casona de las 3 Marías - Only adults

I highly recommend this hotel. It has a modern style, quite ascetic, but there is a certain charm in it. Luckily for us, it was only for adults, so there was an intimate atmosphere. The advantage was a very affordable price and a location that allows you to explore Merida on foot.
Ya'ax Hotel Boutique

Ya'ax Hotel Boutique

I can confidently describe the Ya'ax Hotel as a place with soul. It is a small facility that puts the quality of services and guest comfort first. The interiors are decorated in a slightly more elegant boho style. There is a small swimming pool and a bar. Delicious food. The price is high, but adequate to what you get on site.

Casa Italia Luxury Guest House - Adults Only

I spent two nights here and was very pleased with my choice. The hotel has everything you need. It is nicely decorated and the room was well equipped. The interiors are stylish and elegant. The price of the stay included an American breakfast. However, I suggest eating something better in town.
