A vacation in Mexico is a great option. The country has a beautiful coast and many resorts to offer. However, if you are looking for a quieter place where you will be able to admire the beauty of nature without the crowd, bustle and ubiquitous commercialism, then consider staying on Holbox Island . It is 30 km long and 500 to 2 km wide.

There will be endless beaches , turquoise seas and 150 species of various birds waiting for you. Holbox is a place where the word relaxation takes on a new meaning. Here you live and function slowly. But if you want to get your adrenaline pumping, then you can decide to go diving with whale sharks that come this way for several months of the year.

For whom?

Holbox is the perfect option for a holiday in the spirit of slow life . If you dream of peace and do not necessarily want to spend time on an all-inclusive vacation, then this island will meet your expectations in 100%. It is also a paradise for fans of wildlife observation. Swimming with whale sharks or bird watching are attractions in themselves.

During our holiday on Holbox we stayed in a wonderful cottage owned by Cabanas Coconut. The entire resort is decorated in boho style. The interiors are beautiful, perfect as a space for some photo sessions. An intimate place where you can maintain a lot of privacy. There is also a large swimming pool and places to sit outside.

Palapas del Sol

We really enjoyed our stay at Palapas del Sol. Mainly because it is located on the firm outskirts of the town of Holbox. Perfectly by the beach, with extensive views, peace and quiet. It was hard for us to leave this place after a week's stay. The hotel has a beautiful garden with a large swimming pool. But it is the beach that is the greatest value of this place.

In Holbox we stayed at an adult hotel. Although honestly, we didn't see many families with children on the island. Anyway, La Puerta Azul Beachfront is a great place. Mainly because it is located directly on the beach. It's modern, but without pomp. Few guests. Garden with swimming pool.

I highly recommend this hotel because it is located on the beach and close to the center of the town. I had a nice time here for half of my Mexican vacation. I rate the conditions as a strong 9/10. All in all, there was nothing to complain about. Maybe the beach reserved for hotel guests was a bit small.

Probably one of the cheaper places in Holbox. But despite the low price, the standard was really very OK! The room was neat and spacious, the beds comfortable. There is a large swimming pool outside. Very nice service. Unfortunately, the WiFi practically didn't work. But it made me focus more on rest.
