El Tajin are the ruins of a pre-Columbian city whose name can be translated as "thunder" or "thunder". You may also come across the term "Casa del Trueno" (House of Lightning). It served as a religious and political center. Until our times, it is in very good condition (for ruins). Therefore, already in 1992, El Tajin was on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List .

There are 40 buildings in the archaeological park established there. One of the most important is the Niche Pyramid , which has 365 niches - one for each day of the year. The Blue Temple and the fact that during the work, archaeologists discovered there as many as ... 17 football fields are also noteworthy. Evidently, the people of El Tajin liked outdoor activities.

For whom?

If you are fascinated by archeology and would like to see one of the better preserved pre-Columbian cities, then remember the name El Tajin. You can go there, for example, as part of a day trip from Mexico City. You will surely like it there also if you appreciate the beauty of the architecture of other cultures .

Paris FC Hotel

My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Paris, located in Poza Rica. It is a nice city that is a good base for trips to the ruins of El Tajin, for example. The hotel itself met our expectations. It is a well-kept facility offering very good value for money. Terrace with a view, pleasant lobby, large apartment with a comfortable bed.

Hotel Marel

I spent one night at the Marel Hotel after visiting the nearby ruins. It is a small and rather intimate facility where great care is taken about cleanliness and the quality of the services provided. It was really OK for one night, but it should also work for a longer period of time. On the plus side - a small swimming pool in the garden.

Hotel Victoria Poza Rica by Brahma

Hotel Victoria surprised me very positively. Because actually, I didn't have any higher expectations for this place. Great, medium sized hotel, with outdoor pool and garden. Elegantly decorated interiors. Nice furniture. Great attention to cleanliness. Reasonable price.

Rio Vista Inn Business High Class Hotel Poza Rica

A large, classic hotel that does not surprise with anything special. However, I liked it because of the possibility of using the swimming pool and the convenient location. Another advantage is a large parking lot and a really tasty breakfast included in the price of the stay.
