Cozumel is a medium-sized island located just off the Yucatan Peninsula, about 10 km from the mainland. Its main center is the small town of San Miguel de Cozumel. There is a ferry port (connections to Playa del Carmen) and an airport. It is also the main accommodation and gastronomic base of the island. Why do tourists come to Cozumel?

There are two reasons. The first - beaches . Long, with white, fine sand washed by the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. The second, however, is the coral reef considered the second, largest in the world ! There are plenty of diving centers on the island, and a popular form of exploring the area is snorkeling or snorkeling or SUP. There is no doubt that Cozumel can delight. It is the quintessence of what most people imagine for the slogan: a paradise island.

For whom?

If you are a fan of snorkeling or diving then Cozumel should be one of the first places you visit in Mexico. And if not in the whole country, then at least in the Yucatan. It is also a great destination for a typical holiday with sunbathing and walks along the truly paradise coast.

Recommended accomodations

Here are the accommodations that we can recommend with a clear conscience. We only recommend hotels that we have visited ourselves.

Hotel B Cozumel

I spent 4 days on the island, all at Hotel B. A great facility located right on the seashore. Including the fact that the swimming pool practically connects with the sea. Views - first class. The room was also great. Particularly the equipment. A large set of good quality cosmetics, a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom.
The Explorean Cozumel All Inclusive

The Explorean Cozumel All Inclusive

For an all-inclusive stay, I recommend The Explorean hotel. A beautiful place dominated by lots of vegetation. The buildings are sandwiched between trees, which creates an intimate, cozy atmosphere. There is also plenty of shade here, which is useful during the Mexican heat. It's not cheap, but it's really worth it. Because the meals are excellent, the service is nice and the room is nice.
El Cid La Ceiba Beach

El Cid La Ceiba Beach

I was here for a week and I can confidently recommend this resort. The hotel is located on the seafront, with access to a nice, although quite narrow, beach. Guests can use sun loungers and umbrellas. There is also an outdoor swimming pool. Great food - a large selection of products and dishes.
Hotel Boutique Vista del Mar Cozumel

Hotel Boutique Vista del Mar Cozumel

My fiancée and I spent a nice time at this hotel. It is an intimate facility where you can easily maintain privacy and relax. It is located in the main town of the island. It is close to shops and pubs. We had a wonderful view of the sea from the room. Very nice people working at the reception. There is also access to free, drinking, fresh water.

Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa, an IHG Hotel

It is a large resort, located on the outskirts of the main town of the islands, next to a charming bay. Of course, it has access to a private beach, and the view from the room and the hotel grounds was beautiful. The hotel's exterior needs a little refreshing, but the interior is very well-kept and, one might even say, exclusive. The perfect place to relax and do nothing.
