La Vega , or more precisely Concepción de La Vega, is a city located southeast of Santiago de los Caballeros. Why should you visit them? Mainly because of its rich history. La Vega was founded in 1494 by Christopher Columbus , becoming the first colonial settlement in the Dominican Republic. Initially, gold was acquired and produced here, which quickly made it the richest center in the region.

Villa Bayacanes en la carretera La Vega Jarabacoa

My friends and I decided to stay for a few days in a beautiful villa located just a few kilometers from the center of La Vega. We absolutely recommend staying here. Beautiful facility, with a garden and swimming pool. It is equipped with everything you need during your holiday and even more. The price is high, but for several people it is divided into lower amounts.

Santo Cerro Natural Park

After visiting the city of La Vega, I stayed overnight at the Santo Cerro guesthouse. The area itself is stunning and the views are truly magical! The guesthouse allows you to enjoy the closeness of nature, not only in the garden, but also outside it. There is also a swimming pool. The room was large and tastefully decorated. I recommend choosing a stay with breakfast.

Hotel Anedi

Hotel Anedi is an affordable and reasonable accommodation option within La Vega. Good conditions for little money. There is a swimming pool here. The facility itself is quite intimate and during my stay I was... the only guest. For me this was a huge plus. I paid extra for breakfast and it was really okay.
